These included fares, the proposed integrated ticketing system, pensioner concessions, government subsidies, unprofitable routes, regulation by the Department of Transport, renewal of contracts, performance assessment, car parks at railway stations, dealings with local councils, unfriendly road design, bus transitways, etc.
While APTNSW and the BCA don’t see eye-to-eye on every detail, we were glad of this opportunity to discuss our concerns with each other, knowing that we still have the same basic objective – getting more people on to better public transport.
