Summer Hill Station opens end February

posted Sunday 1 February 2004
The "Glebe" newspaper reports that the remodelled Summer Hill railway station in Sydney's inner west will open at the end of February (See item dated 02.05.2002 below). The station design was changed significantly when local residents mounted a campaign against the overpowering visual bulk and the large number of steps in the original design. The revised design incorporates pedestrian underpasses instead of a concourse located on a bridge over the tracks.
