Bus building in Newcastle

Victorian bus builder Volgren (Volvo + Grenda) is to set up a manufacturing facility in Newcastle.

A display ad in the Sydney Morning Herald of 6 December 2008 (p 9) calls for applications for the position of Operations Manager.

The Newcastle plant will build over 150 buses per year and directly employ about 125 people.

Newcastle already has two major train manufacturers.
