Ten months after public consultation commenced on a review of bus services in Sydney's eastern suburbs, State Transit will implement the changes on Sunday 26 April. The narrow streets of the hilly Billyard Avenue "loop" in Elizabeth Bay, the subject of much controversy and speculation, will no longer be serviced. Sydney City Council already funds limited route services in adjacent suburbs, using small buses.
