NSW Liberals' policies are inconsistent

posted Thursday 30 December 2010
According to an article in the Sydney Daily Telegraph on 27 December, Mr O'Farrell has promised to start work on either the M4 East freeway or expanding the M5 during his first term in office. The choice between the two is to be made by a new body called Infrastructure NSW which is to make decisions on big projects.

It seems perfectly reasonable for such a body to decide that neither project should go ahead, with available funds instead going into public transport. Mr O'Farrell apparently wants to make the biggest infrastructure decisions himself, regardless of what Infrastructure NSW might think.
