NSW Legislative Council GPSC 3 inquiry - access fees at airport railway stations

Action for Public Transport has made a submission to the NSWLC General Purpose Standing Committee Number 3's inquiry into removing or reducing station access fees levied on all passengers at Domestic and International airport railway stations.
Similar, but lower, fees were removed from Green Square and Mascot stations early in 2011. Wolli Creek station has never had fees.
Our submission argues that the fees should be removed or reduced; doing so would increase railway patronage and take many cars off roads around the airport.
Treasury's attitude will be very important.
