Sydney Metro West - major civil works

Sydney Metro West, between Westmead and the Sydney CBD, is being planned in three separate stages. The first stage was major civil works from Westmead to The Bays. The second stage is major civil works from east of The Bays to the Hunter St station in the CBD. Action for Public Transport's submission on the second stage can be seen here.

The third stage, covering passengers and trains, will be addressed later in a separate environmental impact statement. Readers should be aware that this is not the best way to plan a railway; no doubt political considerations prevailed over proper practice.
